Anaerobic biogas requires desulfurization treatment to remove hydrogen sulfide from the biogas, in order to meet the requirements of back-end biogas utilization (boiler, power generation, purification).
Biogas desulfurization is the key and difficult point of biogas engineering: the traditional wet desulfurization process consumes a huge amount of alkali solution; Dry desulfurization requires regular replacement of fillers, which is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and dangerous. Biological desulfurization is the latest popular technology, which has been proven to be an effective technique for biogas desulfurization. A typical case shows that the comprehensive operating cost of biological desulfurization is less than 2 cents per cubic meter of biogas.
The commonly used methods for biogas desulfurization include dry desulfurization, alkali washing desulfurization, or biological desulfurization.
